Future Media Lab 2013 - Conference summary

approximately 150 media experts, EU policy makers and key stakeholders gathered together at the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the EU for the third Future Media Lab. conference to work on a vision of the future media landscape in 2050 and discuss the political aspects of this outlook. European Commission’s Vice-President Neelie Kroes (Digital Agenda) gave the opening keynote and media expert Michiel Buitelaar (Sanoma Media NL) and futurist William Higham (The Next Big Thing, UK) set the scene for the interactive session run by the European Commission’s Digital Futures project.

This conference was well-attended by a diverse group of delegates, which led to very interesting and forward looking discussions about the future of media during the workshop sessions. In the coming weeks, a post-conference report, video summary and photo gallery will all be made available and sent to you by e-mail.
